what’s brown outside but yellow inside?!

it’s my favourite MR POTATO!

potato-free-image-copy

i was eating potato the other day and suddenly a thought came to me: i should pay a tribute to this particular food cos it’s really very imba.

frenchfries
it can be fried like this

or like this!

or even like this with some cheese!

and the all-time favorite mashed style.

potato chips are potatoes too!

and then there’s this potato korokke, jap-style

potato not sweet enough for u? there’s sweet potato! :)

img_2128
potatoes can be baked too!

but my all-time favorite kind of potato is actually..

potatoes
the boiled potatoes that u can find in soups.

i used to mash them up (picture on right) and savour the mashed-up potato with some soy sauce, but now i just prefer eating them just the way they are – and it saves lots of time (spent mashing the potatoes -> playing with my food) too.

so what are u waiting for? eat a potato YOUR WAY (e.g. steamed, fried, baked,..) today!

Disclaimer: I do not evaluate or guarantee the safety of which you want to consume your potato. All methods of preparation and consumption are solely your own business and not mine. You agree that any method you use is at your own risk and that i am not responsible for any food-poisoning, diarrhea resulting from your ways of consumption of the potatoes. No potatoes are harmed in this post; they are just being manipulated and decorated for your viewing pleasures only.

elmo bakes cookies

March 3, 2009 · 2 Comments

ytd, i was spending almost the entire day baking cookies. well, 2/3 of it i would say.
my mum and i were discussing and investigating the recipe i found online.
it claimed to be have a very similar taste to that of famous amos, so i thought why not give it a try.
there were some disputes over the cookies now and then and both of us sort of lost our cool occasionally (we took turns so it isn’t that bad).
sorry mum and thanks for being such a great help! :)

here’s the recipe for those who might wanna try baking their own cookies:

[this recipe makes about 70-80 cookies approximately]
225g of
butter

220g of
flour

1 tsp of baking
soda
225g of granulated sugar (it’s white sugar btw)
160g of
brown
sugar

310g of
 blended
 oatmeal
 (measure
 oatmeal
&
and blend it to a fine powder)
12oz. of
chocolate
chips

1/2 tsp of salt (a pinch would be sufficient actually)
9oz. of
 cadbury
bar
(grated)

*i got the milk chocolate bar. one bar weighs exactly 9oz.
2 eggs

1
tsp.
baking
 powder

1.5 cups
 chopped
 nuts
(optional)
1
tsp.
vanilla
 essence

*1oz. = 28.3g approximately

1. cream the butter and both sugars together
*preferrably using a mixer or whatever you call that automatic mixing machine because if u were to manually cream it, i think it’s gonna cost you an arm

2. beat the eggs, together with the few drops of vanilla essence before adding it to the mixture u obtained above

3. then mix in the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda

4. after which, u should obtain something that looks like cookie dough if not, please repeat from step 1 again

5. add the choc chips, cadbury bar (and nuts)

[optional] leave the cookie dough in the fridge for a few hours (supposedly makes the cookies taste better)

6. then roll the cookie dough into balls and place them on the tray and they are ready to be baked!
*i chose to just grab and put, rather than slowly roll the dough into balls, but really, it’s a personal preference. u may want to lay the tray with parchment paper and DONT butter the paper, you don’t have to.trust me.

7. Bake for 10 minutes at 190 degrees celsius.

the number of cookies actually depends on how big are the doughs that u placed on the tray so it varies.

1 thing to note though: the sugar content in the cookie is rather high which means it’s quite sweet so if u do not have a sweet tooth, i strongly suggest u reduce the sugar content (maybe 150g of white sugar and 80g of brown sugar?)

here are the pictures!

enjoy the recipe!

anyway, beeeee’s coming tonight!
it’s been a week plus since i last saw her,
and i miss her quite a bit :(

follow the beat of love

February 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

finally this day is here.
prior to 14feb09, we have several BIG BIG plans but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to make do with a simple celebration.

it was a simple but sweet affair :)

i met baby after her tuition on sat at amk hub.
we had planned to watch the 2pm show for benjamin button but sadly, tix were selling fast and so we decided to watch the 5pm show since there were better seats for that timeslot.

oh, and since i was on crutches, we were cabbing here and there.
so we cabbed back home and ordered pizza hut.
to kill time, we took some photos.

p140209_145501_1

p140209_1457

p140209_145701

p140209_145801_1

then my mum was very nice! she fetched us to amk hub again.
and wow, the place was crowded.
i wondered why so many couples would choose to come to amk hub to celebrate vday when they are abled-bodied to go travel to town or some beach or something.

the cinema was almost packed.
the movie was rather long, almost clocking 3 hours run time.
the concept of the story was rather unique.
other than that, it’s a so-so movie.

anyway, after the movie,
baby is totally mesmerized by brad pitt as she went ga-ga over his good looks.
(someone save me please)

by the time we were out of the cinema, the sky had turned dark.

and so we quickly headed to jumbo seafood restaurant for dinner!!

the taxi uncle was very nice as he warned us against going to ecp because he said there’s a very bad jam there so we just headed to the nearer jumbo which is at serangoon country club.
we weren’t very hungry so we only ordered one chilli crab and a few man tous.
the man tou plus the chilli really damn imba.

after the dinner, we went to walk around the lobby of the country club.

p140209_225302

by the time we cabbed to her house, it was already going to be 15th feb :(

nevertheless, we headed to the place where it had all begun.
and we exchanged our gifts there.

baby gave me a vest, and it was personalized and that’s what made it special :)

p180209_1619

p180209_161901

thank you baby!
i simply adore the vest! :)

then when it was my turn, she kept pestering me for her gift because i only gave her a card, accompanied with 14 little hearts.
despite all the prompting and whining, i had only one word for her: patience.
and well…
on monday, her patience paid off with 

it was indeed an unforgettable vday.
1 simple day,
2 happy people,
and 3 effortless words words:

i love you.

happy vday baby! :)

The QUEEN Day: Part II

August 18, 2008 · 3 Comments

Then i took the lift down and walked to the nearest toilet, which was across the main road, at the hawker centre there.
It felt shiok to finally relieve myself and to splash some water on my face.
haha. i looked into the mirror and my face was slightly red and the eyes were slightly blood-shot red too.
This symptom of post-drinking-alcohol i inherited from my dad.
Both our faces turn red easily, especially the ears and the eyes, but we are not drunk that easily.
(Note that i say this now, when i’m NOT DRUNK, so u can’t say that it’s cos i’m drunk after drinking, thats why i keep saying im not drunk to deny the fact that i’m drunk cos actually i’m really not drunk. baby: oh shut up. hahaha.)

And since shilin was sick, i had to contact her brother.
It was 11.15pm cos i slowly tu-ed while walking to toilet, took my own sweet time to pee and stuff.
then, i decided to go collect my stuff from her brother cos i felt bad about delaying pple’s precious sleep-time.
I slowly strolled from the hawker centre to The Tanamera.
Sat around at the benches downstairs to cool off abit cos the wind was damn shiok.
Then after collecting the stuff, i went back down to the benches to enjoy the wind again

when the cold wind blows

and then, it was time.
deng-deng-deng-dengggggggggggg.

I went over to beeeee’s house outside the stairs there.
I sat there for a while, slowly poking the candles into the brownie cake.
I did not have enough candles so in the end i poked 2 big candles at one side of the cake and 1 small candle at the other side.
This symbolizes 20-1 = 19.
I was still feeling damn sian cos of the failed attempts at baking the brownie and the making of the icing last night =(
and the cake was like still in the metal tray which i used for baking.
haha. but i thought: wth. it’s the effort and thought that count. though if the cake were to turn out damn pretty, it would be a bonus but it’s still good enough.

indeed. it was good enough :)
haha

I was talking to her on the phone after wishing her bday and then i finally asked, “U sleeping already? if not, want help me open the door?”
hahaha. then she immed. stunned tio.
Then she opened the door and let me in,
we sat at the dining table there to slowly see what i’ve given her.
Meanwhile, got pple sms and call her to wish her happy bday.
She was a happy girl :D
haha. and hence,

2nd surprise: SUCCESS!

2 down, 2 more to go.

The next morning, i woke up rather late which i kinda felt damn sian about.
Cos my plan was to wake up earlier to have breakfast with her and to get the cheesecake ingredients before i meet her.
Why cheesecake?
cos i’ve arranged for ys,yy,yibbon and grace to come and surprise beeeee at my house, and after which we are supposed to bake cheesecake!
haha in the end, i met her to go do some shopping at ntuc.
I supposedly lied to her that we are going to cook our own meal at my house, and chill a bit before going out to watch money no enough 2.

After shopping around, it was time to go my house.
I still have to drag a bit cos it was still quite early, as they all will only be reaching my place at around 1pm plus but it was 12pm only after we were done shopping.
Then i damn scared they dont know how to come, so must drag some more, in case they get lost or sth.
haha so i went into sheng siong to buy some drinks, and dammit man, the marigold orange juice tasted like shit.
like expired dont know how many months type.

Throughout all this time i was corresponding with ys thru smses.
damn gan chiong sia.
and in the end, they took the bus 28 right in front of us.
Which means that its damn heng la.
thanks to yy, they found my house without the help of dora bringing them into my house.
haha. and so we reached home.
then being the experienced surprise-people, they remember to keep their shoes somewhere out of sight.
I thought they will pop up from the kitchen or sth, but nothing leh.

(this time, i got 3 unread smses that i nvr open at all and 1 of them actually reads “we are in ur room. door closed. bring fiona up.”)
and so i went upstairs with fiona to my room.
all 3 doors were closed, so i slowly opened them 1 by 1.
JUST NICE. the two i opened they weren’t inside.
then i asked her to open the last one – my room door.
and TA-DAH!
a donut with a half-burnt candle on it (it was already burning for quite long liao. hahah)
this time, there was a bday song!
haha.
THANKS YY, YS, YIBOON and GRACE! :D

after that,
we ate donuts, fried rice and shishamo!
we chatted around a bit and there were many failed attempts in trying to play with kobe.
But finally, kobe was not shivering badly after he saw food.
lol.
I’m getting more and more lazy to describe everything that happened in detail.
haha. but in all, we had a great time chilling out at my place.
Though there were no cheesecake or brownie baking in the end (cos i had no time to go hunt for the ingredients), we still enjoyed ourselves, especially baby i hope :)

3rd surprise: SUCCESS!

and then, we went our separate ways.
They went home while the both of us went to The Cathay to catch money no enough 2.
It was a typical jack neo movie lor.
There’s laughter and there’s tears.
But it does makes us realize that in this world, money is still an important factor in life.
Like it or not, if you got lesser money than others, ur life will generally not be any better than others.
Though it’s true that money’s not everything and that not-so-well-to-do families can still live so much happier than rich families, but it’s also true that with money, many things can be much easily solved and there are also lesser worries.
In a country like Singapore, i feel that money’s quite important.
sigh.

ANYWAY, away from that forever-arguable topic.

The show made me want to say I LOVE YOU to my mum!
haha. and my ah ma too. lol.

After much discussion, we decided to eat at Seafood Harvest @ Bugis.
Initially we wanted Indulgz Bistro cos it seemed so HC (opposite of yonghong’s commonly used LC = Low Class)
but when we check out the menu and place, it wasn’t very nice and still, it was quite pricey.
haha. actually Seafood Harvest is not that cheap either but the food’s NICE.

Here are pictures of what we ate:

The 1-for-1 drink offer

Complimentary Garlic Bread

Oysters Natural (Half a Dozen)

Steak + Lobster (Baked Potatoes TOO :D )

Lovely Lobster & Stunning Steak

Pretty (BAKED) Potato

The food was not bad la.
but i realized lobster, only got that part can eat nia. u see the meat squeezing out of the shell there?
ya lor. that part only, other than that the other parts of the lobster taste like crap.
ya crap, not CRAB.
lol.

haha. i love the potato jiu dui le.

See the cherry in the drink?
Ms Ong insisted she could do it..
and..

INDEED she managed to do it sia.
and look at that victorious face of hers. hahaha.

haha.
next, we went to walk around abit before going to TCC to sit and chill a while.
FINALLY i get to eat my chocolate cake!
the one that she has been describing to me: got chocolate oozing out from inside one, then damn pretty one, u will sure like it one.
haha indeed.
it looks damn chio la.

and it tasted quite nice!
But it was sad that their portion is so small :(

Then we chilled around, playing her LGB (which stands for LG Baby)
haha. took photos using her webcam with all the wacky effects.
then she insisted that she took these 2 very artistic shots of me while i playing around with LGB.

hahaha. and this is the nicest photo i took of her. so nice that she put as facebook profile picture la. how pro am i.

haha and after slacking around and some more playing with her LGB, i unleashed the 4th surprise of the Queen’s 19th bday.
I think she didn’t expect this.
I took out a pair of earrings from my bag.
(people, don’t think too much. its not those thousand plus dollars one)

4th and final surprise: SUCCESSFULLY WRAPPED UP THE ENTIRE DAY :D

and so off home we went,
a happy couple,
a happy 19-year-old girl,
a happy boyfriend,
a happy 14th Aug 2008 :)

FOSH, I love you.

and now, let’s start counting down to the next Queen Day.
365, 364 …

BUT,
let’s not forget that it’s gonna be my turn to turn 20 first :D
HAHAHA.

It all seems so familiar again

July 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

To those who did not know, i’m already back serving the nation once again.
Finally right? after 5 months of slacking and collecting $399.20/month which is damn pathetic.
ya lor i spoilt brat. do nothing get money i also complain.
But yeah, i still find that amount not enough for me.

I’m currently sitting in the office somewhere in nee soon everyday from monday to friday, helping up with admin stuff.
So when people ask me what i’m doing, i’ll just tell them i’m a clerk.
Besides, i shouldnt reveal much about where i am and what i’m doing, later midnight MP come my house catch me i scared. (MP=Military Police)
it’s all HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL AND CLASSIFIED. hoho.

8am to 5.30pm.

No, the day doesnt start at 8am.
It starts at 5.30am. That’s the time i’ve to wake up everyday.
And everyday, the routine seems so ever familiar.

1. u wake up early, try and catch the bus cos if not, u’ll be late.
2. u meet superiors who u have to greet and there’s frens there who will be there with you for the next 9 hours or so.
3. u have occasional breaks for morning tea break, lunch, and afternoon tea break.
4. u spend almost every break buying food, drinking tea or coffee. u dont know why u are buying food again but u just buy and u just eat.
5. then when u reach home, u realize that u have been eating more and more each day. spending more and more each day.
6. then u tell urself “im not going to eat tmr” and the next day, 1 to 5 happen again :D

haha.
but well, i like the job im doing now. and it really helps to have nice frens around too!
There’s people like Julyen, the make-up artist.
Suren, the Mr do-it-all.
Cham, the very knowledgeable guy cos he knows alot of stuff (everytime ask him sth, he can tell u alot one)
Lester, the rj boy.

but some of the people really damn bth.
shall not comment any further.
cos u never know, maybe their attitudes all these are some confidential military secret.

Oh and anyway, my pes status now is C9 L2. To those who have been asking me, i hope that answers ur qn. don’t worry it’s only temporary. Life’s fair.

I reached home tonight and started eating and eating.
Fish Head Curry.
Fried Egg with minced meat.
Royce Liquor Chocolate.
Half a Toblerone.
Strawberry Yan-Yan.
1 Packet of M&M’s.
and to end it off with a bottle of ju hua cha.

If u think that’s not full enough, wait till u know what i ate at camp.
Nasi Lemak. (with egg)
Samosa.
1 teh, and 1 teh-wu.
1 ham and egg sandwich.

haha.
and i felt hungry after eating those, thats why reach home keep eating.
I think my appetite is on its way back to how it was in the past, where i can keep on eating and eating like there’s no tmr :D
eating is a happy thing!

Mum and dad are in melbourne now.
Just ended a call with them.
They are doing fine and are currently living in an apartment, where the weekly rent is around 500AUD.
CRAZY right?
well, i should be lucky i’m having free lodging and food now.
haha i just need to control my spending.
sad.

Anyone wants to donate to the PAPS Pte Ltd?
no, it doesnt stand for PAP Sucks Private Limited.
erm.. it stands for Please Assist Poh Spontaneously Private Limited.

:D

Btw, to those who didn’t know i switched number, i’m gonna send out mass messages again.
WOO.
i love free unlimited smses.

The past week

June 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I realized that i’ve not been updating much and hence, i’m here to update.
lol.

I’ll start from last Wednesday ba.
I had dinner with baby and ju at sushi tei (the raffles city shopping centre one). The place queue damn long, we waited for about 45 mins before we finally got to eat sia.
Before that, baby had this craving for ha kau that had been going on for damn long liao. since the week before and so we decided to head to the food court to have some small bites.

The food at sushi tei was not bad la, just that abit ex. more ex than ichiban and sakae. lol.

Thursday:
Went gyming and swimming with weiliang and wenyuan.
It was quite fun sia.
especially the swimming part, cos we get to tan sia.
lol. before that day, i didn’t know that there was a sun-tanning deck at tampines swimming complex.
And weiliang brought this sun-tanning oil; the type that u apply liao then skin shiny shiny one.
haha. and the sun was quite meng so we managed to get tanned a bit.
and then we swam a few laps in the pool and headed for lunch liao.
had lunch with jasmine at cafe cartel at TM cos weiliang insisted that it’s damn cheap cos of the student meal thing.
The lunch was followed by haagen dazs ice-cream at TM.
(at this point, i realized that the gyming and swimming that we did earlier on were of no effect liao)
and weiliang, being the handsome him, was being ogled at by a group of ITE girls at haagen dazs.
and according to him, they were taking his photo.
but i insisted that they were taking wenyuan’s photo lor, cos wenyuan was sitting directly opposite them. haha.
At night I met my family for dinner at the Riverside JUMBO restaurant (Clarke Quay there)
it was to celebrate my, my mum’s and my ah gong’s bday (all fall in june)
We managed to get a room cos the set menu my mum ordered was above $400. (or is it $450)

the menu

damn cool sia. the room got tv and a personal call button one.

we were the first to reach. my da jiu (big uncle) and my grandparents and my ah yi (my mum’s elder sis) and her family came later.
so the first dish was called the JUMBO “Petite Four” Appetizer. It contains 4 different appetizers.

they cheat us one lor. they give the green beans instead of the Nonya Duck Salad stated in the menu as seen above in FINE print but nvm, we are very nice people.

scallop with yam ring

chilled marinated jellyfish and crispy fried baby squid

the second dish was the fresh fungus in seafood broth (and it still looks like shark’s fin to me)

artistic hor.

Steamed “Soon Hock” Fish with soya sauce HONG KONG STYLE (sia)

At this dish, my cousin, jin lin had not arrived yet. she’s caught up with work i guess, so my ah gong go and use two bowls to cover up her seafood broth and look at her plate; it’s filled with food.
and when she arrived.. (note my ah gong took the bowl away and replace it with a plate. lol)

prawns and sotong balls (i’m lazy to type out the entire fanciful names of the food liao)

the prawns deserve another picture cos they are too imba

i only ate the mushrooms so i will call this the mushroom with some green thing dish (the thing’s called broccoli i know)

the HIGHLIGHT:

and how can anyone eat chilli crab without MAN TOU!!

BURPPP.

the next dish is fried rice:

and then there was no other food liao =( (excluding the cake and the dessert)
haha and i found these pictures quite amusing.
me and jin lin are like in the middle of the table, separating the pple on the right from the left. LOL.

muacks ziyan. HAHA.

and i found this particular photo interesting. lol.
both my uncle’s and my ah gong’s head super shiny that night. haha.

the dessert: yam paste with gingko seeds

the cake (complimentary cake. WOO):

this is the result of me and jin lin playing with all the candles

(i will post the group family photo when jin lin send me the photos because canon FLASH photos really suck)

Friday:
Baby and I went over to yiboon’s house at night during their cellgroup because we were the surprise for the bday girl – grace :)
haha.
The surprise was simple: we just appear with the cake at yiboon’s house while they are singing a song. and even before we walked in the apartment, grace was already crying. haha.
and then, we were told to wear green cos they wanted to make grace felt out of place (cos yy or ys said that she never wears green colour-based clothes one) and true enough, she wasnt wearing green.
it was fun to be part of the surprise.
I don’t have much photos to show cos i still have to wait for them to post on their blog before i can kope. haha.
anyway, we then had fun chatting and eating.
and presenting to u the green team:

please dont ask cos i also dont know why my left hand’s placed as such.

Saturday:
woke up early at 6am plus to meet baby before going to meet the rest at bedok interchange.
why so early leh? cos we are going cycling at ubin with the cellgroup! :D
haha. she made breakfast for me somemore.
although its just two simple pieces of bread with nutella piak in the middle, it tasted damn nice sia.
haha.
and so we headed over to bedok interchange on foot and met the rest.
not long after, we are on the ferry to pulau ubin liao.
it’s my first time and her second time going to ubin so we felt quite excited. haha.
and it’s like 5 months ago since i ever took a ferry. (20th Feb was the last time)
There were many people there sia. many many.
and when we disembarked the ferry, kevin was sitting down there with a big signboard-like thing.
That’s another surprise for grace! haha. she was damn happy la can tell and so were we :)
The night before kevin faked a motorbike accident and caused grace to panick and rush out of yiboon’s house. it turned out to be another surprise.
haha baby immed. looked at me and told me not to try such surprises in future. LOL.

and so we got ourselves a double bike and off we went.
it got me quite a while to get used to cycling again, especially after i have not cycled for so long.
i felt damn noob when i first stepped on the pedal but lucky, baby’s safe and unscathed after the day ended :)
halfway thru, we decided to switch to single bike and cycle.
haha we stopped at several places to take photos but once again, i can’t post anything here cos the photos are not with me :(
and all that cycling has made me interested in cycling again. i suddenly feel like getting a bike sia and maybe i will really get one.
the day ended so fast sia. but we had fun nonetheless.
thanks everyone! and most importantly, thanks baby :)
haha.

Sunday:
MY MUM’s BDAY!
my brother got a slice of tiramisu cake from Coffee Bean on saturday.

and since my mum fell asleep last night at 12am, we can only give her the cake today.
we stood outside her toilet in the morning and surprised her with the cake.
happy birthday mum :)
we love you.

and then in the afternoon, we had dim sum lunch at Far East Square at a place called Zhou’s Kitchen.
guess what? baby had lunch with us too :D
haha. i can lunch with 2 girls i love so much. how lucky am i sia.
(ya. go ahead and puke if u want cos that’s not going to stop me from loving them. hahaha)
i picked her up at raffles mrt then we walked over to Far East Square to meet my family.
I didn’t really take any picture of the food and dim sum cos i figured out that it’s damn tiring to post so many food photos on my blog.
(i have already spent about 3 hours on this post. SERIOUS!)
but here’s some photos. haha.

this is called the “three-storey” (i think)
the first layer is the mushrooms, followed by the tofu and then the seaweed at the top. (i chose to ignore the green colour thing. haha)

some dessert with lime sorbet and jelly

guess the bill?
it hit $140 sia. i can’t believe that we spent almost half of that on dim sum. haha.
cos the set only cost $68+.
but well, we satisfied our tummies :D

and finally, here are some photos with humans in it.

mum with my am-chioing dad

Do-Re-Mi. HAHA.

the damn cute photo (quoted from ms ong. haha)

I realized that i’ve spent 3 consecutive days with ms ong :) and no, i’m not bored of her.
Instead, I wish i could spend even more time with her! haha.
and though sometimes she bullies me, but i still love her all the same :)

FINALLY.
i’ve finished blogging.
i spent 3++ hours sia. haha.
now it’s time to go to my ah ma house for dinner. EAT-FULL-FULL time is nearing.
haha.

Looking at your watch on the table, i realized how much i really miss you.

happy birthday to me

June 13, 2008 · 2 Comments

okay if u’re reading this page and hoping to see me thanking a list of people, u can just stop after reading this list.
(details in “more”)

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! :D

Munching on DELFI VANILLA WAFER STICKS

May 29, 2008 · 2 Comments

Damn nice lor i tell u.
i still prefer the vanilla ones to the cappuccino ones.

dont ask me why the photo seng aik (i can’t believe i spent at least 3 mins thinking how to type that two hokkien words out)

anyway, i can’t think of a title and hence the random and make-no-sense title u see here.

hmm. i have a sudden urge to blog so let me start from last weekend.
lol.

haha on saturday, i went for sean’s church anniversary dinner and wow. there was alot of people.
got so old ones, got so young ones.
and guess what? i went with baby.
haha and it turns out that everyone was super friendly especially the group of girls – yanshan,yy and yiwen.
the food i would say was okay only la. but the company was great :D
AND there’s a bbq at yiwen’s house this friday! woo.
hope baby will recover by then to eat her fav bbq food.

On sunday, i went to sentosa with baby.
and it was her first time sitting that sentosa express thing. haha.
there was a hell lot of people.
maybe cos its the start of the school hol.s and it’s a sunday.
we went walk walk around.
took the skyride, walk some more, walk on the beach, see people play volleyball.
then walk some more across the bridge at palawan beach.
then finally we settled down at a cool spot under the trees.
haha.
Had lunch at vivo cos it rained super heavily in the early afternoon.
in the skytrain, we were laughing at those people on the skyride. HAHAHA. all of them sure get soaked from head to toe one, not mentioning their belongings. lol.

And after that i realized that actually she wasn’t feeling well in the morning liao and yet she still went with me to sentosa =(
but well.. a bowl of porridge and a surprise appearance by me did bring a smile to her face again =)
haha.

thats a summary of the weekend for me.

then yesterday, i went for lunch with my parents at ichiban sushi at Esplanade.
Then i think i ordered too much food cos at the end of everything, i was feeling super FULL.

Haha. and the good thing about eating with my parents?
i’m not the one who picked up the tab. lol. haha just kidding. and of course the company of them.

OH and handoko’s a big fat liar.
i told him i lunching with his mel then he played along with me and he actually said he was at city hall with his dad (i was on my way to city hall mrt via citylink)
then i actually believed him leh. i was thinking: yes. can go chill with my dear handoko.
then it turns out that he’s lying to me cos he said i lied to him about lunching with mel.
i really believed him leh.
lol. haha stupid handoko.
and so i went to get 2 tix for sex and the city for the night show.
And after much strolling and urban hiking, finally it was 6pm!
i went to baby’s office to fetch her.
on the way to the mrt station, we saw Lee Hsien Loong sia.
he was on his way to TTSH (Tan Tock Seng Hospital fyi)
i think he’s going to see his mum? cos his mum like got some medical problem or what if i remember correctly.
he smiled at us and baby asked “why he never wave?”
lol.

and so we reached Lido just in time for the movie.
and we saw this guy who looks super familiar.
he’s jiang jia xi (after much discussion, we decided that its the older brother we saw, not cheng xi)
we bumped into him like 3 times before and after the movie and each time we were looking at him. i’m sure he must be thinking: why i keep bumping into these 2 weird people. HAHA.
he was with this girl, and they watched sex and the city too.
haha.
the movie’s okay and i think baby likes it cos she was like saying she wants to go borrow the book to read. lol.
i like both the movie and the company. haha.

thanks for everything.
i’ll always remember what u said to me.
i love you.

Baby Love

May 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I haven’t blogged in quite a while and I think that it is time to blog again.

Yesterday was my 1 week anniversary with baby.
I was damn blur when she first told me but I knew it lor, not that i forgot or anything. haha.
anyway, I met her after her tuition and we took train to city hall.
She was on heels and I still made her walk and walk all the way to Esplanade. sorry =(
and baby was damn excited cos we’re going to sit the singapore flyer. hahaha.
So we reached there and there were like so MANY people.
there were 2 queues. 1 is the ticketing booth and the other one is the information counter. Surprisingly the queues at both booths were equally long.
I wonder what questions do the visitors have for the information counter.
“err. the flyer inside got toilet not?”
“got air-con?”
“got free gifts?”
LOL. okay. i’m just joking.
haha. and this flyer thing right.
got 3 types of tickets. 1 is the normal one.
1 is the express boarding one (supposedly let u jump queue and get on the flyer faster than anyone else)
1 is the cocktail one. as in i think they serve u cocktail while u are in the flyer.
the price difference between the express and the normal one is around 22 bucks and the difference?
u get to go first in the security check and go all the way in front to board the capsule first. damn cool right. damn worth the 22 bucks lor seriously. U only have to queue like everyone else for quite some time and still, u see the same things as the rest who paid 22 bucks less.
Of course, we got the normal ones cos i think it’s damn stupid to pay for the express ones.

After getting the tickets they gave us this brochure that contains many coupons that got offers for the shops there. like free dessert, free pizza and discounts, but of course they come with some terms of conditions. We decided to eat at Jalapeno’s Pepper, a seafood and steak restaurant. And baby kept on thinking that it is a jap restaurant for some reason. haha. damn cute la she.
then, we ordered this seafood baked rice and 2 desserts, 1 is free that comes along with the baked rice using the coupon. and ordered this chocolate mocha drink.

Hazelnut Mango Roulade

Tiramisu

The desserts look damn nice but we have tasted better desserts elsewhere. haha.
But the presentation of the food very nice so must say.

We tried taking a photo and this is the photo with the best lighting out of all the rest of the photos we took in the night cos my camera was sent for repair and we can only make do with her hp, but it doesn’t have flash =(
Having no camera was like the saddest thing last night cos can’t take nice pictures.

While eating, we were laughing at the people outside, need to queue so long.
then after dinner, we went out and realized that the queue was in fact even LONGER.
haha but well, the waiting didn’t felt long at all cos of her.
this singapore flyer got this special photo-taking booth just before anyone board the capsule.
(if until now, u reading this does not know what capsules are, they are the cabins that contain 28 people each located on the circumference of the singapore flyer. lol)
in the end, we didn’t purchase the photos though i think they would serve as good memorabilia.
we took some photos in the capsule but the lighting was so bad that i gotta edit them a bit here and there.
still feeling quite a pity that we had no cam last night. hai. sad de lor.

anyway, the view from the top was awesome.
the expressways, the lights, the buildings.
I think in the day, the view would be less spectacular so if u ask me, i would recommend those who are planning to sit the flyer to go for the night one.
But, the most important thing is the company u have with u (and i had the best company i could ever ask for last night. haha)

:)

After 30 mins or so, we are brought back to ground.
we hang around at the yakult rainforest garden and walked walked.
Then we spent some time at the rooftop garden at esplanade where baby can finally let her poor feet have some rest.

Thank you for spending such a wonderful evening with me, baby.
i love you

Disclaimer: If u saw the word “baby” too many times and somehow it may lead to some eye infection, don’t say i didn’t warn u lor. Look at the title. LOL

anyway happy birthday dan! :D
i’m sure this will be one hell of an unforgettable birthday. Receiving bday messages has never been much of a joy than now.
