finally this day is here.
prior to 14feb09, we have several BIG BIG plans but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to make do with a simple celebration.

it was a simple but sweet affair

i met baby after her tuition on sat at amk hub.
we had planned to watch the 2pm show for benjamin button but sadly, tix were selling fast and so we decided to watch the 5pm show since there were better seats for that timeslot.

oh, and since i was on crutches, we were cabbing here and there.
so we cabbed back home and ordered pizza hut.
to kill time, we took some photos.

then my mum was very nice! she fetched us to amk hub again.
and wow, the place was crowded.
i wondered why so many couples would choose to come to amk hub to celebrate vday when they are abled-bodied to go travel to town or some beach or something.

the cinema was almost packed.
the movie was rather long, almost clocking 3 hours run time.
the concept of the story was rather unique.
other than that, it’s a so-so movie.

anyway, after the movie,
baby is totally mesmerized by brad pitt as she went ga-ga over his good looks.
(someone save me please)

by the time we were out of the cinema, the sky had turned dark.

and so we quickly headed to jumbo seafood restaurant for dinner!!

the taxi uncle was very nice as he warned us against going to ecp because he said there’s a very bad jam there so we just headed to the nearer jumbo which is at serangoon country club.
we weren’t very hungry so we only ordered one chilli crab and a few man tous.
the man tou plus the chilli really damn imba.

after the dinner, we went to walk around the lobby of the country club.

by the time we cabbed to her house, it was already going to be 15th feb

nevertheless, we headed to the place where it had all begun.
and we exchanged our gifts there.

baby gave me a vest, and it was personalized and that’s what made it special

thank you baby!
i simply adore the vest!

then when it was my turn, she kept pestering me for her gift because i only gave her a card, accompanied with 14 little hearts.
despite all the prompting and whining, i had only one word for her: patience.
and well…
on monday, her patience paid off with 

it was indeed an unforgettable vday.
1 simple day,
2 happy people,
and 3 effortless words words:

i love you.

happy vday baby!

I was watching the 7pm channel-8 drama, 心花朵朵开, just now and this particular scene got me thinking.

To those who know nothing about the show, let me fill u in with a short story:

(I didn’t really follow the drama every episode so the short story may be inaccurate w.r.t the actual drama)
There was once this married couple, Jack and Ivy.
Ivy was a gambling addict who owed lots of debts.
One day, she left home, cos she didn’t want to drag Jack and their daughter into deep shit.
Jack still loved her despite her gambling ways.

Ivy met Chew who was a boss.
He helped Ivy.
He found a job for her.
He made her kick the gambling habit(cos he was an addict himself in the past until his mum died and blah blah).
Gradually, he fell in love with her.

All this while, Jack still loved Ivy (though i suspected that he was the one who chased her out or dunno what happen cos Ivy very scared to go back).

Then, Chew got some terminal illness that made his whole body system degenerate and hence Ivy has to take care of him.
She felt that she owed him alot for changing her life and her as a person.

When Ivy finally goes back to her family, she still takes care of Chew everyday, thus spending very less time with her husband and their daughter.

Then, fast forward alot.. we come to the stage where Chew has to seek treatment overseas(“thought the illness is terminal?” yea, beats me too) and Ivy promised him that she will go to Europe with him.
When Jack knew about this, he was damn against it, for damn obvious reasons. U have a wife and she never spent time with you and the daughter that both of you share.
Ivy even told Jack that he can go ahead and divorce her if he wants to.

It means she die die must go to Europe and abandon her family indefinitely
.

This is the part of the drama that intrigues me.

I was thinking if i were Jack, how would i feel?

OF COURSE I WOULD FEEL THE SAME: wtf/wth? (choose your own explicit/non-explicit form of expression) the woman i love is leaving just like that?

Even if the other guy has done so much for my girl to help her and stuff, so what?
Yes, she has to repay but to the extent that she gives up her everything?

And the girl, if she chooses to leave just like that, of course i would think: she develops some feelings for him alr right? (so no matter what she say, she’s just repaying him, she’s too paiseh to reject, it doesn’t help improve the matters)

So i was thinking if i’m the only one who got such negative thoughts. Yes, the girl may come back but it just seems wrong don’t you think?

People will be talking also. That your girl leaves with some other guy for a damn long time, and besides she has been taking care of him for so long to the extent that she does everything for her (have u ever wonder how a guy who is paralysed bathe alone? confirm need someone’s help right?)
Then u will be wearing a bright big green beach hat man.

Well.. enough of the rumbling of words.

Would you do this?
Would you do so much for someone who you have received help from? (e.g. he/she lent you lots of money to tide over tough times, he/she saved you from the jaws of a crocodile, he/she gave u free tuition to help u obtain As in your exams.. whatever)
Would you neglect your loved ones for that person?

Would you?

I’ll be wearing my smart 4 very soon, together with my jockey cap.
For the first time in 5 months i have to wear uniform, wear cap, wear boots, wear gutters and stuff.
Cos i’ll be going back tekong on monday, 21st July.
Damn sian la actually.
I’m going there to be a temporary clerk until i get my new pes status.
Oh well, let’s see where we go from there.

Anyway, I attended a concert by Stream of Praise at Bethesda Cathedral on thursday night.
It was quite fun. The songs are nice, and some of them are really very nice indeed.
haha.
the cellgroup people were a great company! stupid sean nvr tell me he not coming until that thursday morning he called me to tell me.
haha but nvm ah. i still had fun with ys, yy, yiboon, grace, ah shang.
Overall, the concert was quite enjoyable. Though the rest of them kept comparing it to the one they saw the night before and a year ago.
My first time ah, so no expectations.
We had supper after the concert.
Ate some hokkien mee at a hawker near yy and ys’s house.
Then reached home around 12 plus, close to 1.
OH! and ys is damn nice la.
she got me this cd, which contains a song that i said i like alot. i told both her and yy.
but only ys nice enough to buy for me. HAHA. just joking.

Anyway, ms ong is away at some camp for the past 3 days.
damn. i really missed her.
Well, so today we went to watch the dark knight with my mum and bro at E hub’s cathay.
Met her in the afternoon after she left her camp at aloha.
She looked quite tired but can tell from the look on her face that she has enjoyed herself the past 3 days; which is a good thing!
haha. and so after slacking around, we went to pasir ris where my mum picked us up.
We didn’t eat anything before going into the cinema cos it was kinda rushed.
Baby felt hungry halfway through the movie but i could do nothing
i think my mum and bro also quite hungry too. my bro resorted to eating Eclipse mints.
lol.
and i think the movie’s nice, just that i’m not really satisfied with the ending somehow.
and i dunno if it’s cos of the influence of the media, but i really think that heath ledger really did a great job in his role as the joker.
That laughter.
That trick he did with the pencil.
That fantastic portrayal of the joker.
rocks man. too bad that’s his last ever film.
sigh. i would love to see him as the joker again sia.
Anyway, that’s abt all i’m gonna talk about the film.
go watch it! and no, there’s nothing after the credits.
so don’t have to stay and rot in the cinema.

OH! and there’s this part.
Edison Chen had a cameo role in the dark knight.
A 3 second shot of his back view, and another 2 second glance of his side view.
ahha. and all he said was “please deposit ur mobile phone here” or sth like that.
haha and fiona was like so excited when she saw edison (she only caught the 2 seconds)
then when i told her, “ya. no more liao. he appear only like that”
haha then she gave me that super sian diao face.
LOL.

And so, we went to have dinner at this street cafe or sth.
After which, we went home le cos everyone was quite tired.
Poor baby.
Not only does she have to cope with her uncomfortable throat, sniffing and coughing, she also had gastric pain cos we ate dinner at quite a late timing and i think she hungry over head (chinese translation)

And i thought if i shared it here, people will really go and watch it.

I think it’s better to spend time watching this video then searching for the love scene between lin chiling and tony leung.

today nothing much happened in the day and afternoon.
I just did the usual stuff.
Chatting online, eating biscuits and chocolates, and drinking water.
OH NO.wait wait.

I went shopping with my mum and dad at queensway shopping centre.
(almost forgot sia)
The trip there was to get her sports shoes. In the end, after choosing and shop-hopping, she settled for this pair of gold and white aasics running shoes. It looks quite chio i must say. thanks to both my dad and me. We both pointed to that pair while my mum was busy trying on other pairs of shoes.
haha. and since she got sth, i must also get sth ma, otherwise she will feel paiseh buying things on her own one.
I got myself a pair of swimming goggles

Then we had lunch at this alexandra food centre. (i think)
And actually we planned to go ikea one but dont know why, we went home after that.
I think we were tired and stuff ba.

So at night, i went amk hub to meet han and pong.
I was late then i still thought han was lying to me when he said he reached le.
haha. sorry han. u’re such a good liar that i dont know when u’re lying and when u are not.
Btw, han is leaving next friday, 11th july.
He’s leaving the main island of singapore to tekong where he will learn to be a man, be more punctual and wun tu and tu so much.
We ask him to lie that he’s from poly so nobody will take notice of him.
Then when sitest comes, he stuns everyone with his decision making and intelligence. HAHA.

We went to get tickets for hancock.
And han dont even know what movie is that sia.
He thought hancock was zohan.
Buying tix that time, i asked him to go to the counter lady and say “I want 3 tickets to go watch my cock.” but he humji ah. so in the end i got the tix.
Pong was busy sharing with Han his collection of M18 movies in his ipod.
haha. the two of them damn horny la.

we settled for dinner at pepper lunch.
Slowly tu and ate and chatted.
It’s been like a while since i last went out with them liao so i quite miss them ah.
so kept talking and not eating. in the end, the two of them talking and i was the only one left eating.
and guess who we met at amk hub?
ANN SIONG. haha he got nights out tonight.
We also met kenneth sim, my 4j class monitor.
bear was damn love sia.
he pangseh his frens they all to come walk walk with us, though knowing that we are going to watch a movie later on and will eventually pangseh him.
haha. so we talked and talked.
then we went arcade pia daytona.
haha bear said he missed us alot sia cos it’s been quite some time we all go out together liao.
Bear, we miss u too.
but i think the next time we’ll go out tgt should be after han’s confinement, which is about 3 more weeks later?

anyway hancock is damn nice.
i’ve always liked will smith’s acting.
The a bit of humor here and there in the show made it nicer.
haha. after the movie, i think i overheard pong and han talking abt charlize theron hot and stuff (did they say that i’m not really sure though.lol)
i wanted to tell them she’s actually born in africa and not america but i don’t see a point in doing so then (and here as well)
but in all, the main point of this post is that i enjoyed the night with both pong and han.
and han(’s)cock really is a nice show.
especially after u watch zohan.

so to those who wants to watch movies,
u can consider watching zohan then watch hancock.

ZOHAN SUCKS

Its been like so damn long since i last logged in to blog liao.
haha. but i realized i have to. i got my own fans reading my blog, so i cannot be so selfish, deprive people of their daily source of inspiration and boredom.

I went to meet baby after work,
then we went to watch zohan. We da-baoed mac into the cinema, which was a far cry from what we da-baoed in the last time: dim sum and pizza hut’s spicy drumlets. haha.
When the movie started, i was like, “oh okay.”
After eating mac, i was like, “whatttttt. (yonghong style. copyrighted. HAHA)”
And i seriously contemplated about walking out of the cinema, especially when i saw her damn sian diao face. It’s like a combination of wth-i-am-here-watching-this and -___- written all over her face. and i would say the same is for me.
really man. the show, i heard from others is damn funny and stuff (imagine hearing all these after watching get smart, a damn fantastic show, and pple actually say its funnier than get smart. h a h a very funny. try again)
but yeah. if u ask me, such shows right, esp one like this, is best watched online. (ignore Wall-E’s message about pirated movies. so lame)
or maybe not watch at all, waste of time.

and yeah, besides that, i learnt something today.
“die” and “promises” are two dangerous words. hahaha.
you see ah,
if u dont do what u promise, u will die.
if u die, u can’t fulfil ur promise(s).
So moral of the story: steer clear away from these two words unless u are really sure u can use them without inviting danger to yourself and others.
