being cooped up at home almost 95% of the time for the past 3 months has been rather boring.
ytd, i finally made a trip to robinsons centrepoint with my mum.
it’s been such a long time since i last set foot in town and also, it was the first time i was driving in town.
went there to get my pillows and some other misc healthcare stuff.
we had wanted to get a tie for my dad as a belated bday present but decided not to cos their service in that dept sucked.
anyway, i looked around orchard and realized that indeed the tens of millions of dollars used in revamping orchard road were not really worth the effort and cost (fei hua).
yes, they had nice street lamps but it’s just a waste lor i feel.
the money could be better off spent building more shops, offering more discounts to shoppers and stuff like these. haha.
but well, what’s done is done.
after which, we went to pick up zy at ps and we headed home after that.
tonight’s like the greatest highlight of my mc period, besides vday that is.
the past week was pretty much anti-fascinating:
-baby came over to my house a couple of days to keep me company.
-dota occasionally over the weekends with jujupupu and darthmao
-read a lil bit of news
-watch a lil bit of news
-did some SAT practice qns
-eat and sleep
OH! and how can i forget that kobe came over to our house last week to stay!
actually, it’s not very pleasant news because apparently, girlfriend is very in love with him more than me.
she even dedicated a drawing to him:

HOW? my girlfriend’s in love with my dog!

Important Note:
LTA has contracted six traffic wardens from a private company at $34,000 a year to take down the licence platenumber, make and colour of vehicles that intrude into bus lanes at peak hours. (They are incognito with camera in hands, so don’t expect to see a TP, etc)
Note: you can get fined $130 for dropping someone off at or near the bus stop.
LTA has intensified their operations at the following places:
(1) Jurong Town Hall Rd
(2) Eunos Link
(3) Orchard Rd
(4) Lorong Chuan
(5) Hougang Ave 3
(6) Upper Serangoon Rd
(7) Upper Thomson Rd
(8) Yishun Ave 2
Additional spots where speed traps were seen:
(1) PIE towards airport near Toa Payoh exit, tripod mounted speed camera at the pedestrain overhead bridge. 90km/h
(2) PIE towards Jurong near Adam road exit, tripod mounted speed camera over at Adam Road flyover. 90km/h
(3) Braddell Road after Bishan Junction towards CTE, tripod mounted speed camera at the pedestrain overhead bridge. 60/kmh
(4) Queensway towards Bukit Merah, tripod mounted speed camera under tree before Ridout McDonalds.. 60km/h
(5) Spot along Upper Bukit Timah Rd towards Woodlands Rd , tripod mounted speed camera under tree after a curve turn – 60km/h.

i wonder if the wardens get any bonuses for each vehicle they record down.
well, let’s just be more wary of them!

nah. i’m just joking.
not that type of pandas..
i’m referring to these types!
one day, i woke up and i made my way downstairs as usual for my breakfast.
little did i know that some creatures were lurking in the sofa-mud-like swamp..
suddenly, these colourful things caught my attention.
they just came out of nowhere and just lay there motionlessly. i swear i did not see them last night while i was swimming in the swamp (a hobby i adopted ever since i fractured my ankle).
they came in many colours. there were pink, red and many more (man, there were so many colours that i lost count).

at first, i thought they were m&m’s but no they weren’t because they did not have their trademark – the letter “m” – on them.
as they weren’t posing a threat to me, i proceeded to the kitchen to prepare my breakfast.
just as i was about to sit down and enjoy my “sweet kueh” (a direct translation from its native hokkien name),

the colourful things sprang to life! they were lining up in some formation.
no, it’s not 4-3-3, nor was it 4-4-2, it was just 4-3.

then! they emerged from the swamp onto the marble land!

SUDDENLY, out of nowhere, there was this creepy meow-ing sound which caught my attention.
i turned around and to my astonishment, it was not a cat.
there were these little ninja killer pandas!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
the colourful things were just decoys!

man. i should have known.
it was too late.
they had already made their way into my little tupperwares.
but luckily, thanks to my more-ninja-than-ninja-killer-panda’s skills,
i managed to dodge their attacks and grabbed hold of the tupperwares’ lids and put them back firmly onto the tupperware – sealing their only way out.
then, i brought them to my secret hideout located 2 storeys above and started the NINJA KILLER PANDA MASSACRE (NO! THE KILLER IS NOT ME).

the killer’s identity is protected as pandas are endangered animals and the killer has told me that he does not want to seek trouble with the WWF and the SPCA. he did what he had to do because when he was 8 years old, he was told by his great-great-grandfather that he was destined to be a ninja killer panda killer.
the end

i was reading my email when i chanced upon the updated news of Dr Allan Ooi’s death in melbourne.
and it seems that the SAF is really good in covering their asses, or at least, makes sure that they still have a good reputation.
if u have the time, please do read these 2 links:
his farewell letter published in the papers
the actual farewell letter he sent out
they really deserve a clap.
