Speaking of money, Budget 2009 was only few days ago.
And frankly speaking, I don’t really bother.
It’s not that I’m an ignorant young adult but the fact that it doesn’t really concern me directly and I’m not writing econs essay this year makes it redundant to be bothered about it.
Okay, i lied. I was curious. I read the papers the next day about the Budget.
But it was only because I was more concerned of whether we NSF get any extra increment in our miserable ALLOWANCE.
It’s an allowance, not pay right? Please correct me if i’m wrong.
(oh and also whether there was a cut in the ERP rates)

This new year started out quite indescribably(don’t think there’s such a word).
I really didn’t expect to fracture my ankle again(yes, same left ankle).
But well, it happened.
And the best part?
it happened one week after i got my licence.
For the record, i can still drive with my right leg.

And man, it’s only January.
11 more months to the end of the year.

What else awaits me?

An Old Friend of Mine

Just when i thought i have successfully gotten rid of my old friend,
he comes paying me a visit again.

As much as i want to be left alone with no office politics, I dread seeing my old friend again.
It means another few more weeks, or even months of boredom.
Spending time with him is necessary but not fulfilling at all.
But well, this is something called fate.

Actually all Jack Neo’s movies are not bad, but sometimes they get so repetitively lame that you start to find it hard to laugh at the jokes.
But in all, they are really not bad, mainly cos they have some meaning in them.

After finally applying for my temp licence(i used that chao ah beng drug addict passport photo of me), my mum came and fetched me and i took over the wheel.
damn exciting sia.

But yeah, safety still comes first.

From multi-storey carpark to school carpark to alleys at Balestier to superlotsofcheenaandahbunehneh carpark at aljunied to KPE to TPE to PIE, it was damn bloody fun.
haha.

Lunch, met beeeee at tpy mac. It’s been damn long since we both ate mac.
No more fast food for both of us indefinitely. haha.
At night, beeeee treated me to dinner.
haha. it was a simple dinner
I think this lady here is feeling more happy than i am though i’m the one who has passed.
haha. that’s what i would like to see

It feels good to be finally cutting the lanes of TAXIS.

Who wants to hit the REWIND button?

I was just exploring through this new layout of wordpress and i discovered that i actually have quite a number of drafts in my dashboard.
Yes, i discovered them because the homepage of wordpress no longer shows how many published posts u have and drafts you have. Instead they revamped the entire page and drafts were like at the right-hand side so they weren’t very noticeable at one glance of the homepage.

In blogs, we can type as many things as we want. Say and bitch about as much things as we want in life.
And sometimes though we know how accessible our blogs are, we still intentionally mention stuff that we know are sensitive; stuff that pisses pple off, backstabs pple in the back, and stuff that generally will get us some questioning.
Why?
Because we want pple to read them, we want people to know how we feel and most importantly, we are seeking some sort of attention (may not be true for all but one fact’s for sure, everyone enjoys attention, even the slightest bit)

Attention comes in many forms.
It can refer to caring for someone (that explains why some people blog about their lost loves,their break-ups and their unhappy moments) or making yourself known to everyone (that explains why sex tapes are becoming more and more of the norm in the WWW amd why people post nude shots of themselves online)

Then if we feel that it isn’t the right moment to post the entry, we can just save it as draft or best, we can just delete it. No records, no nothing. Nobody would know that your best friend might be planning a evil plot to kidnap your girlfriend and to make her his step-sister.

Okay, everyone. Please pay close attention here.
Here is the part where half of you may get lost.

In life, we are unable to hit the REWIND, PAUSE or the STOP button.
We can’t save a part of our life and come back to it later. Neither can we turn back time to try and salvage a part of our life on this world.

Unlike blogs, where we can save our entries as drafts and come back to them later, we can’t do that in reality can we?

Hence, every decision we make in our lives will have a consequential effect on the later part of our lives.
And decisions often come with sacrifices.

An analogy: you are deciding between eating a donut and a cookie. You decide to eat the cookie, you sacrifice the donut and this will lead to u craving for a donut in future cos u’ll say sth like “wah i very long nvr eat donut liao” then u’ll go on and buy like 1 dozen donuts and start gorging them down. When u’ve finally finished the last piece of donut, u start to regret what you’ve done but it’s already too late. U HAVE BECOME FAT. okay, maybe not that serious, but u’ll feel fat and that’s not a good feeling for most people, yes even guys.

I guess i don’t have to explain what happens if u decide to eat the donut instead.

So in life, if there’s anything you want to do and you do not wish to live with regret in the later part of your life, what are you waiting for?
You can’t simply rewind and do things all over again.

Come on, it’s a new year. it’s only 10 days into 2009. There’s like 355 days left.

Even if you’re not a believer of new year resolutions like me(basically this is because i feel that the words ‘new year’ are just an excuse. If you want to set resolutions, what for wait till new year, u can just set them anytime as long as u know how to discipline yourself to fulfil the resolutions set), what the heck, just set your mind to do whatever you want to do, this has nothing to do with resolutions.
